This year 2010, KRONOTEX has reinvented an all-new four sided click interlocking joint named “Express Click” that comes with a four-sided locking mechanism on both the short and long joints coupled with our dense custom made “Green” rubber underlay with aluminum foil, it not only offers double protection against vapour and walking noise but also gives you solid feel and warmth.

Like any type of wood flooring business, we require tremendous amount of trees to make into floor panels so that we can floor our homes/premises. Hence, it’s important that Kronotex adopts environmental friendly and sustainable methods in all stages of its production including merging its fully owned environmental friendly pine tree forests in Germany with its famed German advanced precision machining technology and committed research and development in full 100% vertical integration to produce its superior quality floorings. Thus, our massive reforestation program in Germany helps us to use trees in ways that makes sense from both environmental, ecological and business perspectives. We have been accredited by FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) that promotes environmental friendly and sustainable forestry. As all Kronotex floors are made from natural fresh pines and no harmful substances are used in the manufacturing process, we have been attested by WKI (Wilhelm-Klauditz-Institut) for its compliance with the emission Class E1. In addition, all Kronotex floors have a CE (European conformity) marking that certifies that the KRONOTEX floors have met EU consumer safety, health or environmental requirements.

To align with Singapore Government’s programme to create awareness on sustainable and “Green” building products for the real estate and construction industry, we have recently attained The Green Label from SEC (Singapore Environment Council) in the category of “Made of Sustainability/Renewable Fibres”.
